I recieved an BFA - Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and an MAT - Master of Arts in Teaching - from the Rhode Island School of Design. I have taught every level from pre-school through college but like teaching elementary grades the best! I began teaching at Mt. Anthony Union High School in 1986 and taught at North Bennington Graded School and Pownal School beginning in 1990. I owned and operated a gallery in Williamstown with my husband for 5 years. I like to create works with mixed media and clay. I have a husband who is also an artist, two grown children, three funny rescue dogs and two rescue cats. I love to garden, cook, knit, hike, sail, read and make art. My personal philosophy of art education is to provide students with materials, inspiration and the freedom to create and communicate visually.
